Other Side Books SALE

Other Side Books SALE

I think everyone is aware of the inflation crisis at the moment. At present, it is the worst in my lifetime. If you are reading this, good luck and best wishes.

As a result of people having less disposable income, but still wanting to read, Other Side Books have taken the unusual step of having a sale during an impending recession, rather than bump up costs. For a limited time, a number of our books will be available at a lower cost than before. This is to help you, the reader, during this uncertain time.

SALE DETAILS

Paperbacks

Gran Friendly Tales, £4.99, 2 pounds off – friendly tales for grans, fantasy stories without monsters, vampires, or Doctor Who’s…

Euro 2016, £5.99, 1 pound off – Jon Arnold’s love letter to the Euros Wales did very well in, though this book had an early print size issue (A5!) so we suggest you buy you the Kindle instead if you can!

Womb of the Goddess, 13.99, 5 pounds off – Vincent Lauzon’s fantasy epic is massive and the plot twists more than a Hitchcock. Was previously “reassuringly expensive”.

Sea Terrors, 6.99, 1 pound off – 3 ghost stories in the Amicus tradition, Jo M. Thomas brings the heart and soul with a teenager experiencing a future family tragedy through a lost diary; Michael S Collins puts a bunch of folk on a boat and has a murderous ghost bump them off; Jon Arnold has ghosts take on Brexiteers.

From the Moon to the Stars, 9.99, 4 pounds off, Duncan Lunan’s early SF stories collected, along with the closest we’ve got so far to his memoirs in collected notes about the stories. Contains work by the great Sydney Jordan.

Other Side Book of Ghosts, 4.99, 5 pounds off, a menagerie of ghost stories, collecting money for charity.

Isle of Ravens, 7.99, 3 pounds off, Jo M. Thomas most recent postmodern take on folklore.

Other Side of the Interface, 9.99, 6 pounds off, our other collection of Duncan Lunan’s work, also with drawings by Sydney Jordan.

FML Weekly, 5.99, 4 pounds off, Justin Jessel’s satire of self-help books which has been confused with being a real self-help book. Also, less dangerous than actual self-help books.

Second Christmas Book of Ghosts, 9.99, 4 pounds off, ghost stories for charity.

To get around these price cuts, no writer or illustrator was hurt. Once you take away print costs (which are the reason some of the books start pricier than others), the writers will be making their usual percentage. Which remains at its high level. When you buy a book from Other Side Books, you know that, after printers and Amazon take their money, the overwhelming majority of the profit goes back to the talents themselves.

And so, if you wish to help out a struggling freelancer/editor who is clearly far too socialist for his own good, donations are greatly appreciated.

I wish you all good reading. I heartily recommend the books above, but then, I liked them so much, I published them.

Michael
